Starter Black Label has teamed up with Snipes to produce a spring summer ‘21 capsule collection, giving a nostalgic nod to the ‘90s heritage of the Starter brand.

Starter Black Label, the premium lifestyle brand of the famous Starter brand, offers a trend-led athletic inspired collection. The Starter brand quickly became one of the most innovative global sports brands in history, by connecting fans with their favourite teams and players on a whole new level, pioneering the fusion of sports clothing with popular culture by forging partnerships with the major professional sports leagues, colleges, Olympic sports, and individual athletes. The brand would grow to become a leading part of everyday sports fans’ lives representing authenticity and the opportunity to “wear what the pros wear”.

It all began with an iconic star logo and the idea that “Every athlete’s dream is being a starting player.” But STARTER didn’t stop at athletes, extending across cultural lines, drawing influence from sport, music and popular culture.

This men’s apparel collection takes inspiration from ‘90s basketball, a theme clearly present throughout the pieces and featuring Baseball-inspired overshirts, boxy tees and basketball jerseys which all receive graphic accents, finished with co-branded graphic elements. Summer-ready shorts match the sportier layers, with a suitably retro cut reinforcing the nostalgic tone.
